Today I am sitting at a conference in Denver, Co and listening to all of the leaders in the engineering industry I am a part of. All I can think about is how most of these people spent all of their lives becoming experts in the field and still are working for a company, so I started comparing marketing vs corporate. The people that decided to create their company remind me of the part time work (entrepreneur, promoting marketing systems and tools) I do, they became experts, took that step of faith, and took action and created a company that was successful. Now the other experts in the field are still working for a company which reminds me of the quote I always think of, “work to live”.
Work To Live
Working to live is what most of us do, early in our childhood we are told to go to college, get a degree, and get a job. To American society, this is “success”. The people that went to college and had to take out loans to pay their way, are averaging $27,000 dollars in debt!. I don’t know about you but that is a lot of money that you just spent to get an education. So, you spent $27,000 on a college education and now you earn (average in 2012) $44,000 to start out. To me this is just nuts! So, you invested $27,000 (not to mention the interest, so a lot more) to get a job to make $44,000 a year!? It will take you forever to pay off that debt! Now another thing that bothers me is that we have to work our whole lives to retire and then live the “good life”
Living the Lifestyle at 65
Now that we joined a company, the plan is to work as hard as you can, get promoted and save up for retirement, so that you can live the “good life” right? Wait a second here, I just invested $27,000 to go to college, get a degree that pays me $44,000 a year and now that I have a job, I have to wait until I’m old and fat to enjoy life? Not to mention the aching bones, health issues, and everything else that goes along with old age!? You’ve got to be kidding me!? This system is just DUMB! Now the flip side is, you could get promoted to a high ranking position in the company you choose and end up hitting that 6 figure mark. Right!? Well yes, but that more than likely includes 50+ hour work weeks, more stress, and less time for the stuff you really want to do (hang out with family, go on vacation, relax, etc.). Now I don’t know about you but, wouldn’t be easier to find a job or OPPORTUNITY that fits around YOUR schedule and not Corporates?
Network Marketing vs. Corporate
Network Marketing can be a very rewarding field to get into. A lot of people have a misconstrued view of network marketing as a huge scam. I can understand that and I used to think that way too. I first started network marketing in 2007 and I joined a company that is still around today and back when I joined I said “this doesn’t work”, now why did I say that if the company is still around today and producing millionaires? Well because doing network marketing takes a lot of hard work! Well think about it, you are more than likely selling a product and you’re creating an image for yourself and for the product you are selling. So basically you are starting a business! Isn’t that exciting!? Now starting a business takes time/money investment. Most people that fail at network marketing is because they didn’t put in the time or effort to create their business and OWN it!
The secret to a successful career in network marketing is “hard work”!! Shocked!? Well you shouldn’t be, any business requires a lot of work, tweaking, adjustments, etc. You have to be
willing to set a goal and stick to it. Now the opportunity I’m in, provides a ton of resources and I will personally work with you to become successful in network marketing. Remember, network marketing is like creating your own business and requires hard work and dedication to succeed in the industry.
