I want to talk about fear. What is fear? According to the Webster dictionary fear is to be afraid or apprehensive. Some synonyms to fear are bother, worry, fret, fuss, stress, and trouble. So I bet you are asking, “OK I know what fear is but what does this have to do with anything?” well the reason I bring it up because I wanted you to understand there are two types of fear. The healthy fear which is the instinctual fear that helps you stay out of real danger and then there’s the unhealthy fear that is psychological fear. The psychological fear is the fear that is self-limiting which makes you doubt yourself and never lets you step out of your comfort zone. Are you that person that is limited by the unhealthy psychological fear? If you are, you need to step out of that comfort zone and grab the fear by the horns and throw it out the window. It won’t easy but when you do, you will experience freedom and windows of opportunity that were once blind to you will open their doors to you.
So ask yourself this question “Are you limited by fear to succeed?” or an even better question “What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?”. That my friend is the million dollar question. Just think about it for a second, if you knew that everything you did or everything you touched, resulted in success, what would you do? Now this is the part where you dream about all the GREAT things you would do and the LIFESTYLE you would have, right? Why not make that a reality? What is holding you back? I bet its fear, look deep down inside and ask yourself “Why can’t I have that lifestyle I dream of?” You could be saying it’s because “the world is in my way”, or “I have no money”, or “It’s because they won’t give me the opportunity” all of that is a negative attitude and you should remove that from your brain, you or anybody else in your life doesn’t need to hear the COMPLAINTS or the EXCUSES, the only reason you are not where you want to be is because of YOU. I know it’s harsh and mean, but its reality and the faster we can accept that the faster we can grow mentally and not be limited by fear.
What is your goal? Could it be a short term goal of say $5000 by the end of the month? Or is it a long term goal $100,000 (Or More!?)by the end of year? Or maybe it’s not even money, maybe it’s to create a business opportunity to allow you to get away from that 9 to 5 job and live a life of freedom to spend time with your family? If you want that, the first thing you have to do is change your mind, do yourself a favor and devote just 30 minutes a day to some self-improvement. Try reading or listening to something influential that has been accredited by others. Here are a couple of books I would recommend taking a look at.
